I'm speechless--well, almost

Just. . .wow.

I just got home, from history.

From the longest playoff game in Major League Baseball, ever. (Eighteen innings. That's two whole games! Those who thought Houston would win the Division in 5, were sorta right.)

From the first playoff game to have 2 grand slams.

From the first appearance by the Rocket out of the bullpen in 21 years. Three shut-out innings to take the win.

Wow. Just. . . wow.

See you in St. Louis!

I was thinking of you while watching that game! First at home, then at bowling, then at dinner. Good lord.

Also, us Cubs fans are more than a little amused by the whole Farnsworth thing. See? See why we traded him? He's a NUT JOB.

Thanks for thinking of me! It was quite grueling, I must say--especially since, as per facility policy, all concessions closed in the seventh inning.

I went more than an entire game with NO BEER.

I always wondered what would happen in the event of so many extra innings. No beer, geez. And you'd have needed it, too, with all that stress!

Good luck tonight! (And by "good luck", I mean, I hope your team gets obliterated. Kidding, kidding, couldn't help that... )
